Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
